Timber

Timber frames cannot withstand wet conditions, they will rot and damage the frame, lead to cracks through which heat can escape, and can encourage serious problems with mould and poor indoor air quality.

Aluminium

Aluminium frames have poor energy performance. It is the least environmentally friendly material and does not hold in heat and is prone to condensation leaving your home cold during winter and hot during summer; increasing energy bills. Also, when this material gets exposed to salt in the air or water it corrodes easily.

Not only does UPVC window frames increase thermal insulation. It has double rubber seal around the glass and frame to further seal and trap thermal insulation and reduce unwanted noise.
